> WHO RUNS NUROC DANCE STUDIO (incorporating C & M's Dance Studio)

CHARLES & MICHELLE GIL have been teaching rock n roll for over 12 years and teaching Nuroc - the Modern Jive Partner Dance - for 7 years. Charles & Michelle fell in love with West Coast Swing dancing in 2005, after a friend showing them some West Coast Swing Footage from the USA, they started learning West Coast Swing shortly after seeing that fabulous footage! During their early years together they were National Rock 'n' Roll Dance Champions.

Charles also came 2nd at the Marrickville RSL Rockstars Rock 'n' Roll Dance Championships in December 2004, beating a lot of Australia's best dancers in the Open Event.

Charles has also appeared with Sonia Kruger in 2001 on Channel 7's Sydney Weekender Show.

Many years ago, Michelle and her father, Pat Russo, won 1st place in the 'Father and Child' section of the National Australian Titles and Michelle also won 1st place in the 'Teacher and Student' section of the National Australian Titles.

In October 2006 Charles Gil competed for the first time overseas in the 'Boogie by the Bay' West Coast Swing competition held in San Francisco, USA.  He won 1st place in the 'Novice Jack & Jill Division' and 5th place (with Robyn Everinham also from Nuroc as his partner) in the 'Novice Strictly Swing Division'.  Charles & Robyn were the only 2 Australian Dancers to win or even place in this competition.  This was a huge achievement for our Australian Dancers and it really put our Australian West Coast Swing Dancers on the map in the USA!  Hundreds of America's competed in both events!

We are both accomplished dancers who now, just wish to pass on the joy of dancing, to our students!

PETAR & AMANDA PAVLOVIC currently run the Penrith & Prairiewood Rock 'n' Roll venues. Petar and Amanda started learning Rock 'n' Roll dancing in the year 2000 with Nuroc Dance Studio and in early 2006 Charles and Michelle realised that Amanda would be a fantastic rock 'n' roll dance teacher, at which time Amanda's teaching training began! In mid 2006 Amanda started to teach some of the classes at a venue at St Johns Park.

Now Petar & Amanda run the Prairiewood venue and have also started the C & M's Dance Studio Penrith venue which opened in late 2006. This Penrith venue is a growing successful venue with lots of students learning from the local area!

Amanda is infectious with her outgoing and bubbly personality!
